My 12-year-old sister is a pro at showing zero interest in everything that is unrelated to the teen heartthrob of the moment. This is especially frustrating for me when there’s some excellent movie or song I want to share with her, and I can’t get so much as a polite nod. But there is a place I can always count on to restore her sense of wonder: the halls of the movie theater. She stops and stares at the movie posters even when the cast doesn’t include her one and only, and I join her—because great movie posters demand our attention. And they deserve it.
